The post 16 BTEC Extended Diploma in Music is a two year course that involves studying and implementing a range of techniques specifically for the sound and music industries. The course acts as a technical foundation so that by the end of their two year study, students will have a sophisticated set of music skills that will enable them to specialise as they move into higher education or into industry. The music course encompasses performance with a level of technical competency for live performances and studio recordings.
The Extended Diploma is broadly equivalent to three A Levels.
