From show-stopping routines to shock exits and even break-ups, it is fair to say that  Dancing on Ice has provided us with some  of 2019’s most wonderFALL (a little nod to our fave this year – The GC) television moments – so far.

With the Dancing on Ice final swiftly approaching, our very own Stephanie Wallace Carr – who’s previously choreographed for Dancing on Ice – has her say on who she thinks will be crowned as this year’s champion and who might be on thin ice ….

There has been a lot of talent on the rink this year, but James, Wes and Brian’s performances have really stood out to me.

Their routines have been exciting and they have really stepped out of their comfort zones, especially when you consider the fact that Wes isn’t from a performance background or even a trained dancer, and was working as an engineer less than a year ago.

It was a real shame to see Brian go this week  – his passion and hard-working attitude is something that definitely shone through when he skated and  helped him get so far in the competition. He should be very confident in his abilities on the ice and proud of getting so far!

James has been dubbed a bit of a ‘safe bet’. His dancing background has given him a strong foundation; however, being on skates and on ice is a completely different ball game and you either take to it or you don’t. His performance this weekend was  fantastic and it was no surprise he picked up four perfect 10s from the judges.

Wes has amazing natural charisma – he only entered the public eye on Love Island a few months ago and he’s given us some of the most energetic and entertaining performances of the series.

I feel like he always gives 110% and is truly fearless which I believe is a crucial part of being a skater. Everyone at home also really likes him –but will this give him the edge in the final? Who knows?

Having said that, Love Island was one of the biggest shows of the year and I’ll shamelessly admit, it also helps he is so good looking. Wes definitely gets the votes of teenage girls! So, I think he has a great chance of winning.

I think that this year’s final is going to be one of the closest to date – roll on Sunday night!
