The global superstar, who mentored the choir on The X Factor in 2018, has invited the 14-strong choir to join him for his festive-themed shows on 16 and 17 December.

The Robbie Williams Christmas Party comes after the LMA Choir appeared on Robbie’s ITV Christmas special, Not the Robbie Williams Christmas Show, last Sunday.

The choir, who are part of media, music and performing arts institution LMA, also feature on the singer’s number one album, The Christmas Present, lending their vocal talents to yuletide classics Santa Baby, Winter Wonderland and Rudolph, as well as original track Soul Transmission.

Speaking ahead of their stint at The SSE Arena, Stephanie Wallace-Carr, head of LMA Choir and creative director of musical theatre at LMA, said: “Since leaving The X Factor last year, it’s been a complete whirlwind for the LMA Choir – we knew we were lucky to have Robbie as our mentor on the show but he has continued to back us ever since.

“We performed with him at his sold-out Hyde Park in the summer which was an incredible experience for all of us, to look out and see 50,000 people singing along with us. And, of course, being part of Robbie’s Christmas album was something we began working on in the summer and we can now say our voices feature on a number one album!

“We’re now on countdown to Wembley and we’re determined to go out there and do ourselves, LMA and Liverpool proud!”

LMA Choir’s string of high-profile appearances with Robbie follow the star becoming a co-owner of LMA earlier this year. Joining co-founders Richard and Simon Wallace, as well as newly appointed board members Sir Terry Leahy and Bill Currie, Robbie will be part of LMA’s expansion outside of Liverpool, with its London campus set to launch next September.

Now, the LMA Choir are busy perfecting their vocals for their big moment at Wembley and are looking forward to their next chapter in 2020.

Stephanie added: “We always talk about LMA having a fantastic family feel and this runs right through our bond as a choir. Next year is already shaping up to be a very busy but exciting time, so we can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner!”
