Accessibility at LMA

We are committed to making our digital content accessible to everyone.

Below are tools and settings you can use to tailor your experience to your specific needs.

Device & Browser Settings

Most modern devices include built-in accessibility features like screen magnifiers, high-contrast modes, and "Read Aloud" functions.

  • Windows Users: Press the Windows Key + U to open the Accessibility settings. This gives you quick access to the Magnifier, Narrator, and high-contrast themes.

  • Apple Users: Visit the Apple Accessibility page for guidance on macOS and iOS features.

  • General Guidance: We highly recommend AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way, which provides step-by-step guides for adapting your phone, tablet, or computer.

Recommended Browsers

We recommend using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome for the best experience:

  • Immersive Reader (Edge): Look for the "Immersive Reader" icon in the address bar or right-click any text to select "Open in Immersive Reader." This allows you to change text size, increase line spacing, and change background colours to reduce eye strain.

  • Read Aloud: Both Edge and Chrome now offer built-in "Read Aloud" features. In Edge, simply right-click anywhere on the page and select Read Aloud.

Reading PDF Documents

For longer documents like our prospectus, we provide PDF versions that can be read aloud using Adobe Acrobat Reader:

  1. Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader.

  2. Go to View in the top menu.

  3. Select Read Out Loud > Activate Read Out Loud.

  4. Choose to read a single page or the entire document.

Tip: Many of our website pages can be converted to PDF using the icon at the bottom left of the page, making them easier to save and use with screen-reading software.

Video Content

We aim to provide captions or transcripts for our video content.

  • YouTube: Click the CC icon at the bottom of the video player to enable captions. You can also customise caption settings (size and colour) by clicking the Settings (cog) icon.
