MEET SOME OF OUR AMAZING ALUMNI

LMA offers a creative environment in a supportive atmosphere, where tutors are experienced industry professionals, facilities are second to none, and hard work promises to bring great rewards. Here is what some of our recent graduates have to say about their time at LMA – and why you should follow in their footsteps.

EVAN HARRISON
BA (Hons) Musical Theatre

“My time at LMA was amazing. The training and the facilities were incredible and I made so many friends. The place has a real family feel and is really diverse and welcoming. Since graduating, I got an agent and have worked on Carnival Cruises performing all over the world and recently I was cast in the Westend hit ’LIVE AID the musical”

ABUBACARR BAH
BA (Hons) Acting and Performance

“I really enjoyed my time at LMA, the training and facilities were amazing, being able to learn from tutors actively in industry was a huge advantage. I came in with zero confidence in my screen acting ability but left feeling like I could take on any role on screen. Since graduating I have become a member of the national youth theatre, started facilitating drama workshops in secondary schools and community centres across Newham.”

DANNY STRANGE
BA (Hons) Digital Film & TV Production

“What sets LMA apart from other creative universities are the people you will meet during your studies and how much of an impact they will have on you. Every member of staff truly has your best interest at heart and will do everything to help you on your journey. LMA gave me the opportunity to genuinely live my dream of a career in Football Videography at West Ham Utd FC.

With a strong mindset and a brilliant work ethic, it just shows that dreams do come true.”

ROXY MATHER
BA (Hons) Dance Performance

“The training and the staff at LMA are brilliant and I found everyone to be so supportive. They were there at every step, helping me to balance my student life whilst working on real industry projects. A couple of my biggest highlights recently have been starring in a Nike commercial shot in Barcelona and then dancing at Wembley stadium for Lenny Kravitz.”

ALFIE CASTLEY
BA (Hons) BA Music Production

“Thanks to LMA I was able to support Take That on the European leg of their tour. They’ve supported me in getting this opportunity and have let me and my band continuously use their industry-leading rehearsal spaces on campus, which outside of university can be hard and expensive to come by. The tutors have been incredibly supportive and just so warm as well as amazing about it. Everyone feels like they’re on our side which is so incredible. It’s an LMA family, just thank you so much to everyone who’s supported us and been so lovely.”

JAMES SHOCK
BA (Hons) BA Digital Games Art

“LMA’s dedication to offering industry-standard software and hardware was a clear signal of what awaited in the professional world. This approach not only aided my confidence but also made the transition into my career much easier, as I had alreadybuilt a strong knowledge base with everything the University provided. LMA was also a hub of industry connections. From guest lectures to networking events, I had opportunities to meet professionals in my field. These connections led to an internship that provided invaluable experience and eventually allowed me to join full-time and start my career at Draw & Code.”

MAX AINSWORTH
BA (Hons) Acting and Performance

“During my time at LMA I was cast in ITV’s hit “G’WED” which was amazing. LMA were so supportive and understanding and my training helped me so much on set and gave me the confidence to give my best performance every time.”

RASHIDAH BINNS
BA (Hons) Music Performance & Industry

“While being at LMA I definitely believe they have helped massively with my confidence, especially with performing on stage with award winner RAYE. Every week we have solo performances so I’m always getting feedback from the lecturers. At LMA I’ve met so many talented and lovely people. I’m inspired by them every single day. For anyone thinking about joining LMA, I would say, Do It! They have great facilities here, the lecturers are brilliant and everyone literally uplifts everyone. There’s nothing negative about LMA.”

NEVAEH DESLANDES
BA (Hons) Acting & Performance

“It’s incredible to have the opportunity to bring our original show, Beyond the Cap & Gown to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was through YOU Fest, LMA’s creative festival, where we pitched ideas for the Fringe via the partnership with theSpaceUK. It’s exciting, we’re going to graduate and dive straight into the rehearsal process for Edinburgh Fringe. I think we all feel really lucky to be given this opportunity, straight after graduation. We’ve all spent our three years together and it’s nice that we now have this opportunity together at the end of it. It’s a full circle moment, we started our training together and we will end our training together.”
