COURSE OVERVIEW

Explore various practical filmmaking skills, editing techniques, audio recording and scriptwriting.

The Extended Diploma is broadly equivalent to three A Levels.

  • Get hands-on experience with industry equipment and editing software such as DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro.

  • Music video production 

  • Live performance multi camera recording 

  • Creating a professional showreel  

  • Documentary Production 

  • Short film making.

COURSE INFORMATION

  • Due to our Funding Body restrictions, we can only accept applications for BTEC study from students who live in the North-West region of England. For further information about our eligibility criteria please email our admissions team who can provide further advice and guidance.

    • A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) to include English (Literature or Language) and Maths

  • After the Post-16 course, students can progress via many different routes.


    The following are examples of what students may go on to do:


    • Study for a BA Hons Degree here at LMA or at another university

    • Further specialist training

    • Employment in the TV & film industry
