This one-year Top-Up course is designed for Actors and Performers who have already completed Level 5 study (such as an HND or Foundation Degree) and are ready to take the next step into professional acting and performance.
Building on your existing training, you’ll refine your technique, deepen your understanding of performance practice, and develop your identity as an actor. The course focuses on high-level, industry-facing work, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills in a professional context through live performance and showcase opportunities.

A key focus of the course is preparing you for entry into the industry. You’ll build a professional portfolio, including showreels, audition material, and promotional content, and gain insight into how to position yourself within the acting profession. You’ll also undertake an independent research project, allowing you to explore an area of performance that aligns with your interests and career goals.
By the end of the course, you will have developed the confidence, technical ability, and professional awareness needed to progress into a career in acting across stage, screen, and related creative industries.
